With more than five decades of fascinating history, MARTIMOTOS has established itself as an iconic brand in the world of motorcycles. Its journey began in 1967, when its founder, Martí Martínez Ferri, born in Andorra and a motorcycle enthusiast like his father, decided to import a batch of motorcycles from the legendary Spanish brand Bultaco to the small country in the Pyrenees.
The first store opened in Escaldes-Engordany (Andorra), next to the family furniture store, with an area of 30 m², under the name "Élite 70." By the end of that decade, with the explosion of shopping tourism in Andorra, the couple Martí and Carmen opened a new store on Avenida Santa Coloma, already under the name MARTIMOTOS, laying the foundation of what would eventually become the motorcycle hub of the parish of Andorra la Vella.
The motorcycle sales business evolved gradually, and the growing demand from tourists for motorcycle accessories led Martimotos to venture into Italy in search of suppliers who could provide premium brands in helmets, leather clothing, and motorcycle parts.
This decision was pivotal for the future of Martimotos, marking the beginning of a new era. At the Santa Coloma Avenue store, long queues formed to purchase revolutionary products from pioneering brands such as Dainese, Alpinestars, Axo, Sinisalo, and Polini.
From its creation until 2000, MARTIMOTOS operated with a single store. However, with the arrival of the second generation, it modernized and computerized its operations. "Martino" Martínez Márquez took the reins of the family business with the goal of expanding it.
This phase of growth and expansion began in Andorra, with the opening of a large store in Pas de la Casa, and continued internationally with new outlets in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, and Seville.
At the same time, the creation of the e-commerce site www.martimotos.com in 2007 is worth noting. Over time, it gained increasing importance and, with the arrival of the COVID pandemic in 2020, became as significant a sales channel as the physical stores.
In the summer of 2024, MARTIMOTOS opened the first store of the group on French soil, in the beautiful city of Perpignan.
